Resum

The new event generation framework SHERPA, i.e.\ Simulation for High
Energy Reactions of PArticles, will be presented. As the well established
tools Pythia and Herwig, it aims at a full simulation of events at current
and future high energy experiments. In its current form SHERPA is able to
provide hadron level predictions for e.g.\ $e^+e^-$, $pp$ or $p(\bar p)$
collisions. Owing to the fact that SHERPA has its own matrix element
generator, more tree-level processes, for instance SUSY particle
productions, can be studied on the signal level. The capabilities of
SHERPA shall be demonstrated by showing a selection of results. One of the
striking features of SHERPA is the inclusion of the CKKW prescription to
combine tree level multijet matrix elements with the subsequent parton
showers. On that score recent results related to the production of weak
vector bosons in association with jets at the Tevatron and the LHC will be
discussed.
