Aspects of Brane Dynamics in Supergravity Backgrounds

Abstract

We give a detailed analysis of worldvolume actions and equations of motion 
of Dirichlet branes in type IIB supergravity and considere several 
instructive examples in which branes carry a worldvolume Born-Infeld flux 
and interact with bulk fluxes.
