Abstract

An array of 3He proportional counters was installed in the Sudbury
Neutrino Observatory (SNO) to measure flux of neutrinos from the decay of
8B in the solar p-p chain. The proportional counters detected thermalized
neutrons liberated in the neutral-current interaction \nu + d -> n + p +
\nu, and are called Neutral Current Detectors (NCD). The motivation for
SNO and the NCDs, the NCD experiment and the current status of our
analysis will be discussed.
