Abstract: 
In the last few years the studies of simple cosmological models within Loop Quantum Cosmology have 
provided a qualiatively new picture of possible evolution of the universe, predicting in particular big 
bounce and the existence of a large universe preceeding ours. During this seminar I will present a short 
introduction to the main ideas behind the theory, its methods and main predictions, focusing in 
particular on the issue of singularity resolution and the dynamical predictions.
