Abstract
Relativistic outflows produced in binary systems, or the SMBH in the
center of AGN, are subject to violent disturbances due to the crowded
media in which they are embedded. The direct impact or the entrainment
of external matter by these outflows lead to strong hydrodynamical
perturbations and energy dissipation. This energy can be partially
channelled into non-thermal particles that will produce emission from
radio to very high energies via different processes. In this talk, I
will briefly discuss some interaction scenarios in the context of
relativistic outflows in compact environments, focusing on the
evolution of the flows involved, and on the high-energy non-thermal
processes.
