                                    Resum

  A study of the properties of Kaons in nuclear matter using chiral unitary
 techniques is done, of relevance to the interaction of kaons with nuclei or
the eventual Kaon condensation in neutron stars. Application to Kaonic atoms
will be reported. While kaon condensation will probably not occur in neutron
 stars, strangeness can however appear in the form of hyperons. Preliminary
  results on the composition and properties of strange neutron star matter
    obtained with realistic baryon-baron interactions will be reported.
