Phenomenology of Quantum Field Theories on a Noncommutative Spacetime

Abstract

In this talk it is shown how to formulate gauge theories relevant to 
particle physics on a noncommutative spacetime. One of the key problems is 
to understand how to formulate symmetries on a noncommutative spacetime. 
We shall explain how to formulate SU(N) gauge symmetries and Lorentz 
symmetry on these spaces. We then explain how to quantize field theories 
formulated on such a spacetime and apply our results to QED and GUT 
theories. We then describe experimental bounds on the scale for spacetime 
noncommutativity.
