Abstract
A breakthrough in the attempt to understand non-perturbative Yang-Mills
theories came with the AdS/CFT conjecture, proposed by Maldacena, that a
connection could be established between the large N limit of a
superconformal SU(N) gauge theory defined in d dimensions and a
supergravity theory living on a d+1 anti-de Sitter space (AdS). In this
talk, I will attempt to expose how it is possible to extend AdS/CFT
correspondence to QCD (being neither SUSY nor conformal so that its
gravity dual theory is unknown). I will pursue by describing a holographic
model of QCD for glueballs. Especially, I will show that it is necessary
to modify the AdS geometry in order to recover the spectrum hierarchy
between the scalar and pseudoscalar glueballs.
